Arthur
O. Watson (1864-1935) was one of the foremost architects of his
day. In 1897-98 he and his wife built this beauty to be their home
at 402 W. 12th Street. The fine two-story transitional Queen Anne/Colonial
Revival style house showcased Watson's expertise. His attention
to detail is displayed throughout this magnificent structure. This
restoration was completed by Henley Homes, Inc. with the assistance
of Robin Bruno, Group Two Architects, and has received awards from
the Heritage Society of Austin and the Austin Board of Realtors.
